Commercial Chain Link Fencing & Gates
Chain Link Fencing has an attractive value & price point for securing large perimeters often required for commercial property. Diamond Fence & Concrete has long been a supplier of heavy duty Chain Link Fencing and Gates, and have installed thousands of feet of galvanized or vinyl coated Chain Link fence.
We frequently work with commercial property owners, property managers, cities, school districts, and Commercial General Contractors doing private or municipality work. We can also do almost any chain link or gate repair for the commercial property.
The commercial environment is typically more challenging than smaller scale residential work. Longer spans of fencing require greater efficiencies, as well as real expertise is needed to handle the challenges of installing on varying, rolling terrain. Other environmental challenges are core drilling into concrete, mounting posts on plate, or working inside warehouses.
Chain link fencing is highly customizable by height, fabric weight, and post size. The most common heights are 4', 6', and 8', but almost any height can be installed depending on need. The fabric is the woven, open diamond shape that allows visibility through the fence, with the sturdiness designated by the 'weight' or gauge of the fabric. The gauge refers to the thickness of the wire (the lower the number, the thicker the wire). The lighter weight applications usually use an 11 gauge wire, while heavier commercial uses 9 gauge. Vinyl coated wire is also used, with most common colors being black or green.
A large factor in the sturdiness of the fence is the size of the terminal, line and gate posts. The terminal post are used where the line ends, or at corners where the fence turns. It is the primary anchoring point against where the fabric is stretched. Common outside diameter (OD) pipe sizes for corners are 2 3/8" for residential and 2 7/8" or larger for commercial. Line posts are spaced every 10', and will also vary in size, from 1 7/8" to 2 7/8". The top rail is usually 1 5/8" to 1 7/8". All pipes can vary in wall thickness as well, with schedule 20 or schedule 40 being common in commercial applications. Tension wire along the bottom will keep the fabric snug.
Additional horizontal railing along the bottom and/or middle adds to the strength of the final product
